Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 18, 2025This Privacy Policy applies to the Emoji Quiz: Brain Puzzle mobile application (the "Application") for iOS and Android, created by Yunus YAVUZ (the "Service Provider"). The Application is provided as an ad-supported, free-to-play service with optional in-app purchases. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect certain information automatically when you download and use it, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Device type, operating system, and version
- Anonymous usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and feature interactions
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) for ad personalization, subject to your consent
The Application does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifiable information.
The Application does not require you to create an account or sign in.
2. In-App Purchases
The Application offers optional in-app purchases, including coin packs, boost packs, a starter pack, and an ad-removal option ("Remove Ads"). All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The Service Provider does not collect, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers. Payment data is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.
Purchase history and entitlement status are managed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives anonymous identifiers to manage your purchase state. No personal information is shared with RevenueCat.
2.1 Purchase Types and Restore Policy
The Application offers the following purchase types:
- Non-consumable purchases (e.g., "Remove Ads"): These are one-time purchases that persist across devices and reinstalls. They can be restored at any time using the "Restore Purchases" option in the shop, which syncs your entitlements with the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Consumable purchases (e.g., coin packs): These grant virtual currency that is spent during gameplay. Consumable purchases cannot be restored once the coins have been credited to your account, as they are added to your local balance immediately upon purchase.
- Starter Pack: A one-time bundle that includes coins, hint boosts, and ad removal. The ad-removal component is non-consumable and can be restored. The coins and boosts are consumable and cannot be restored once used.
The "Restore Purchases" feature is available in the Application's shop screen. It checks your Apple or Google account for previous non-consumable purchases and re-activates them on your current device. This is useful when reinstalling the app or switching to a new device.
3. Advertising
The Application displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your preferences and applicable regulations. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
Users who purchase the "Remove Ads" option will no longer see interstitial ads. Rewarded ads may remain available as an optional feature for earning in-game rewards.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- RevenueCat
- Expo
5. Data Sharing
The Service Provider may disclose automatically collected information in the following circumstances:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
- When disclosure is believed in good faith to be necessary to protect rights, safety, or to investigate fraud
- With trusted third-party service providers who work on behalf of the Service Provider, do not have independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the practices set forth in this Privacy Policy
The Service Provider does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Retention
All game progress data (completed levels, coins, settings) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to external servers.
Anonymized analytics and crash data are retained by the respective third-party services (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics) according to their data retention policies.
If you uninstall the Application, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be promptly deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider immediately.
8. Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all data collection by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process on your mobile device or through the app store.
You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings as described in Section 3.
9. Security
The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding your information. Appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are in place to protect the information collected and maintained by the Application.
10. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Since the Application does not collect personally identifiable information and does not require an account, there is no personal data profile to access or delete.

11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy and revising the effective date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
